Recording Hip Hop on iPad with Apogee ONE
From start to finish and uploading the final mix to iTunes… Jon-John Robinson, K. Jackson, JAY-R, and Ian Boxill show you what can be done on iPad and Apogee ONE. Using Beatmaker 2 and Wave Machine Labs – Auria, Jon-John laid out an incredible track for K.Jackson and JAY-R to showcase their talent, using only ONE’s built in internal microphone. Ian Boxill then lent his magic to the track on the final mix and mastering… All done with the iPad and Apogee ONE!
After Ian Boxill finished mixing and mastering, Jon-John Robinson uploaded the finished track to iTunes where you can download the finished track „Turn me up“ by K. Jackson featuring JAY-R.

Jon-John is a two-time Grammy award-winning, multi-platinum producer. He signed his first publishing/production deal with former wife of Babyface, Tracey Edmonds. He has worked with many artists from TLC to Diana Ross.
Jon-John formed an independent record label company called Box Car Digital, which mainly focuses on digital downloads. He signed hip-hop artist K. Jackson, who was a former member of teen R&B group 3rd Storee, and actor from the television series Everybody Hates Chris. BoxCar Digital released K. Jackson’s first mix tapeBeach House, and has released K. Jackson’s first single Candy Man on iTunes. Jon-John has also been involved with Film and Television producing them music for comedian Bill Bellamy and his two of his comedy shows Crazy Sexy Dirty and Ladies Night Out.
